To identity users, an identity is created that is used by the server to show which assets you have permission to see in the tracker. The identity by itself doesn't contain personal information but identifiable content may be provided through comments. Linking AppendMe accounts to Defuse identites is not reversible.

The web server logs IP addresses for security purposes and are separate from identites used by Defuse.

Any action done in the site may be logged without any identifiable information to a user.

Website elements from third-parties may collect data. APIs for this website have no third-party involvement.
